Why Volunteer With Us?
At the Historic West Mansfield TX Community Development Corporation (HWMT CDC), we believe that community strength comes from collective action. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization, bringing energy, passion, and diverse perspectives to every initiative we undertake.
Whether you’re a student seeking meaningful community service hours, a professional looking to give back, or a retiree wanting to share your wealth of experience, there’s a place for you in our volunteer family. Our programs touch hundreds of lives each year, from guiding young students toward higher education opportunities at our annual HBCU College Fair to fostering civic engagement through our Candidate Forum events.
Volunteering with HWMT CDC offers more than just the satisfaction of helping others. You’ll develop valuable skills in event planning, community outreach, and leadership. You’ll forge lasting friendships with fellow volunteers who share your commitment to making a difference. Most importantly, you’ll witness firsthand the positive impact your efforts have on families, students, and neighbors throughout our historic community.
We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you can commit to regular weekly involvement or prefer to help with specific events throughout the year, we’ll find the perfect opportunity for you to contribute. From event setup and registration to mentoring and administrative support, every volunteer role is essential to our mission of empowerment through engagement, education, and economic growth.
Join us in creating pathways to success for the next generation. Together, we can ensure that every member of our community has the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.
